RailQUAD 4 — Input module with 4 analog-digital inputs for DIN rail with status indicator LEDs

About the RailQUAD

The RailQUAD 4, 6, 8 v2 and 12 (ZIORQ4, ZIORQ6, ZIORQ8V2, ZIORQ12) are Zennio analogue-digital input modules for DIN rail in the panel: 4 or 6 inputs fit into 1 DIN unit, 8 or 12 into 2 units^[1][2][3][4]. Cable runs from the panel to a contact or probe are limited to 30 m^[1][2][3][4].

An input is configured as a binary input, as a temperature input for a Zennio probe, an NTC with a defined curve, a PT1000 or a Ni1000, or as a motion sensor input, up to two sensors per input^[4]. In Switch/Sensor mode with line supervision, which needs an end-of-line resistor (2.2, 2.7, 3.3, 4.7 or 10 kΩ, set by parameter)^[5], the input sends a separate breakdown or sabotage alarm and its LED starts flashing^[6]. A binary input can also count pulses^[6].

Power comes from the bus only, from 4.8 mA (RailQUAD 4) to 5.9 mA (RailQUAD 12) at 29 V^[1][4]. The RailQUAD 4 and 6 take 1.0–2.5 mm² wire with 4 and 3 inputs per common; the 8 v2 and 12 take 0.5–2.5 mm² with 2 per common^[1][2][3][4]. Every module has 10 logic functions and KNX Data Secure^[6][3]. There are 4 thermostats on the RailQUAD 4 and 6 on the 8 v2 and 12; for the RailQUAD 6 the datasheet gives 4 and the manual 6^[2][6].
