About the Flat RGB

Flat RGB 1, 2, 4, 6 and 8 are Zennio glass capacitive KNX switches of the X size with 1 to 8 buttons: an 81.9 × 81.9 mm square installed without a frame, 9 mm proud of the wall^[1]^[2]. The switch mounts in portrait or landscape on a European back box, and the ZACHOLD3 metal plate comes with it; on the 2, 6 and 8-button models the application adapts the layout to the orientation^[1]^[2].

The glass artwork is designed in the Touch-MyDesign web application; C360 versions use 360° customisation: a fully custom background with logos and texts, though not a personalised silver or pure white design; glass on the predefined black, silver or white backgrounds is made faster^[3]. Logos and other decorative elements are not back-lit^[3].

Each switch has one thermostat, a −30…+90 °C temperature sensor, a proximity sensor, two inputs and KNX Data Secure support^[1]. Bus current at 29 V runs from 11.3 mA (Flat RGB 1) to 24 mA (Flat RGB 8), with 20.3 mA on the four-button model against 18.5 mA on the six-button one^[1]. Zennio does not recommend permanent backlighting: it shortens LED life and can reduce the accuracy of the temperature sensor^[1]. After a download the switch needs about 2 minutes untouched to calibrate the proximity sensor and button sensitivity^[2].
