About the KNX Soft push button

The KNX Soft push button is a Zennio push button with conventional-looking keys and its own KNX electronics: ZS55SOFT is the 55 × 55 mm module and ZS70SOFT the 70 × 70 mm one, both supplied without a frame^[1][2]. The covers are not included either, and they set the layout: single or double, pressed at the bottom or at the top and bottom, giving one, two or four push zones^[3]. The Device Type parameter in ETS is set to match the covers actually fitted^[3].

Both sizes use the same application program^[3]. The module stands 9.5 mm proud of the wall, weighs 29 g in the 55 size and 66 g in the 70 size, and draws up to 3.9 mA from the bus at 29 V^[1][2]. Inside are a temperature sensor, a thermostat and one input for a remote probe, with KNX Data Secure support^[1]. There is no key backlighting: by the datasheet, the only indicator of the module is the programming LED^[1]. An individual button can get a second action on double press^[3].

ZS55 and ZS70 frames come in 1 to 4 gangs, multi-gang frames need a 71 mm centre-to-centre distance, and neither series has frames for more than four gangs^[4][5].
