About the Presentia C v2

The Presentia C v2 is a Zennio ceiling KNX presence detector with four PIR sectors of individually adjustable sensitivity, a light sensor, a built-in temperature sensor and a thermostat^[1]. Ranges are given for two heights: at 2.7 m it detects movement across the zone within Ø 30 m, movement towards it within Ø 20 m and presence 1 m above the floor within Ø 10 m; at 4 m the first two shrink to Ø 25 and Ø 16 m, presence stays at Ø 10 m^[1].

Zennio's installation note asks for a horizontal ceiling no higher than 4 m, away from suspended light fittings and from warm or cold air of air conditioners and heaters. Underfloor heating may reduce sensitivity, and glass, like most transparent materials, blocks the view. For constant light control the sensor goes above the work surface and is calibrated with a luxmeter^[2].

It has 6 presence channels, 2 constant light channels and an occupancy channel that works as master or slave and is triggered by a door sensor signal received over KNX^[3]. It has no inputs (the auxiliary sensor socket is unused); inputs, CO₂ and humidity come with the Presentia C MultiSensor^[1][4]. It mounts on the surface or in a Ø 40 mm hole, works at 0 to +35 °C and draws 7 mA^[1].
