About the CX35

The CX35 is a Zennio room controller with a 3.5-inch screen and two independent thermostats that runs on KNX bus power alone[1]. According to the datasheets, it nearly matches the Z35 v3 from our catalogue: 86.1 × 82.1 × 34.6 mm, 163 g and 25 mA from the bus at 29 V[1][2]. They differ elsewhere: the CX35 offers up to 9 pages instead of 7, and its datasheet lists temperature, humidity and proximity sensors, while the Z35 v3 adds a luminosity sensor to that list[1][2].

The USB-C port of the controller is its service port and also takes the ZACCO2S CO₂ sensor[1]. That sensor is a photoacoustic NDIR type with a 400–2000 ppm range and ±50 ppm accuracy, and Zennio advises a sealed back box for better measurement[3]. The sensor also narrows the permitted bus voltage from 21–31 to 24–31 V DC, which is worth checking when the line is designed[1][3]. The four inputs take a Zennio temperature probe or any NTC with resistance known at three points of the −55…150 °C range, motion sensors and dry contacts, on cables up to 30 m[1]. The controller mounts with the ZACHOLD3 plate supplied on a square or round back box, away from draughts and direct sunlight[1].

Works with

  • ZACCO2S — CO₂ sensor for the USB-C port of the controller, 400–2000 ppm, ±50 ppm accuracy[3]
  • ZACNTCS — steel 6.8 kΩ NTC probe, IP67, −30…+105 °C, 3 m cable[4]
