About the Z50

The Z50 is a Zennio KNX touch panel with a 5-inch colour capacitive screen of 480 × 854 pixels; of the three larger Z panels, only it works in both portrait and landscape^[1]. A page holds 8 items in a 4 × 2 or 2 × 4 grid (12 on the Z70 v2, up to 20 on the Z100), so 12 pages give up to 96 controls and indicators^[1]. It weighs 167 g; the ZACETH Ethernet adaptor and 9900047 mounting plate are in the box^[2].

It works only with its external 24–29 V DC supply connected, though ETS downloads run on bus power alone^[1]. It draws up to 225 mA at 24 V and 200 mA at 29 V, or 160 and 130 mA without the video intercom^[2]. A PC, hard drives or devices drawing over 150 mA must not be connected to its micro-USB port^[2].

Zennio does not recommend the built-in temperature sensor for thermostatic control; both inputs accept a Zennio temperature probe, a motion sensor or a dry contact in any combination^[2]. Video intercom, remote control and voice control are licensed, and voice control also needs the remote control licence^[1]. With the ZACFLZ50 drywall accessory for 13–18 mm boards, the panel loses its built-in temperature sensor, video intercom and all sounds^[3]. Our catalogue lists five housing colours.
