About the IWAC Display v3

IWAC Display v3 is a Zennio in-wall access controller for a hotel room or other door: access is granted by MIFARE DESFire 2K and MIFARE Classic 1K NFC cards or by a Bluetooth LE key from the ZenKey app^[1][2]. It does not open the lock itself: the command travels over an encrypted serial link to a Securel v3 relay (ZIOSECV3) in the secure zone, which drives one electric strike^[1][3].

The display shows the room number or name, but not in Cyrillic: the controller renders only Unicode characters in the U+0021…U+00FF range^[2]. After a card or key is read successfully, the Locale object sends the holder's language and region to the bus as an ISO 639-1 / ISO 3166-1 code^[2].

Besides the KNX bus, the controller needs a 24 V DC supply rated for 50 mA, which must stay connected during ETS downloads^[1]. Thanks to that supply it keeps working when the KNX bus fails, only without bus communication, and the Offline Access object reports whether access was granted meanwhile^[2]. The touch buttons can be locked by a binary object, and Elevator Access mode controls access to floors^[2]. Its two inputs take a push button, a dry-contact sensor, a temperature probe or a motion sensor, and it operates at 5…45 °C^[1].
