About the KUPSupply

KUPSupply is the Zennio range of power supplies for a KNX twisted-pair line. All five ratings, 160, 320, 640, 960 and 1280 mA, run on 110–240 V AC mains, have a built-in KNX coil and a 29 V DC auxiliary output, are protected against short circuit and overvoltage and mount on a DIN rail: IP20, −5 to +45 °C^{[1][2][3][4][5]}.

The rating covers the bus and the 29 V output together, so output loads count against the line budget: from 320 to 1280 mA, IAUX + IBUS stays within the rating^[2][3][4][5], while the 160 mA model allows 160 mA into the bus and 250 mA in total^[1]. The 160 mA unit is 2 DIN units wide and takes a KNX bus connector on the output; the larger units have screw terminals and take 4.5 DIN units (320 and 640 mA) or 6 (960 and 1280 mA)^{[1][2][3][4][5]}.

The 160–640 mA units bridge a mains failure for 100 ms, the 960 and 1280 mA units for 120 ms^{[1][2][3][4][5]}. The two largest show bus and output status and overload on separate LEDs and power the output one second after the bus^[4][5]. All-pole disconnection is required, and Zennio recommends a 10 A miniature circuit breaker; if the internal short-circuit fuse trips, only the Zennio technical service may reset or replace it^{[1][2][3][4][5]}.
