About the Z100

The Z100 is the largest panel of the Z50 / Z70 v2 / Z100 series: a Zennio KNX touch panel with a 10-inch landscape screen of 1280 × 800 pixels and up to 180 controls and indicators on 12 pages, where a page can use a 4 × 5 grid of 20 items^[1]. Unlike the Z50 and Z70 v2, the Z100 has no temperature sensor for room measurement: the built-in one serves only the internal operation of the device^[2][1]. Its two thermostats therefore take the temperature from a Zennio probe on one of the four inputs^[2] or from another KNX sensor over the bus^[3].

The panel weighs 693 g, measures 248.9 × 174 × 39.2 mm and stands 11.8 mm proud of the wall. It fits a double European or British back box on the ZACHOLD4 plate supplied, and Zennio recommends pushing on most of the screen area so the clips engage firmly^[2].

From the KNX bus itself the Z100 draws no more than 5.5 mA at 29 V; the main load falls on the external 24–29 V DC supply, up to 500 mA at 24 V and 400 mA at 29 V, or 300 and 250 mA with the video intercom unused^[2]. Firmware is updated separately from the application program^[4].
