About the Z70 v2

The Z70 v2 is a 7-inch Zennio KNX touch panel with a 1280 × 800 pixel screen that works in landscape only; its 12 pages of 12 items hold up to 144 controls and indicators^[1]. Unlike the Z50, it has four analogue-digital inputs and an RJ-45 Ethernet socket, and it mounts on a double European or British back box with the ZACHOLD4 plate supplied^[2].

With the video intercom licence, the panel receives calls from GetFace IP and from Comelit, DoorBird, Fermax and Akuvox outdoor units; a project can define up to 21 outdoor units with 4 doors each, while lock power stays with the intercom system^[1]. Another network function is the Sonos gateway: the router needs UPnP enabled, and the panel handles up to four speakers or zones^[1].

Without an external 24–29 V DC supply the panel does not run; consumption reaches 375 mA at 24 V and 300 mA at 29 V, falling to 250 and 200 mA when the video intercom function is not used^[2]. Climate control should not rely on the built-in temperature sensor, which Zennio does not recommend for thermostatic use^[2], and while the sensor is enabled the screen cannot stay lit permanently^[1]. It measures 189 × 137 × 37 mm, stands 11.8 mm proud of the wall and weighs 470 g^[2].
