About the MAXinBOX SHUTTER

The MAXinBOX SHUTTER 4CH v3 and 8CH v3 (ZIOMBSH4V3, ZIOMBSH8V3) are Zennio KNX actuators dedicated to motorised shutters and blinds: 8 or 16 relays form 4 or 8 independent channels, with or without slats^[1]. The 4-channel version takes 4.5 DIN units and weighs 250 g, the 8-channel one 8 DIN units and 452 g^[2][3].

The outputs are bistable relays rated 8(4) A at 250 V AC and up to 1000 VA inductive; the terminals take 1.5–4 mm² wire and an output responds within 15 ms^[2][3]. They have no short-circuit or overload protection, so a breaker goes ahead of the actuator, 8 A per the datasheet^[2]. When the KNX bus fails, the relay contacts open and the motors stop^[3]. Adjacent outputs may be supplied from different phases^[3].

Inside there is a Sun Tracking module, which calculates the solar azimuth and elevation and the sunrise and sunset times for a given location, plus a relay switch counter, 20 logic functions and KNX Data Secure^[1][3]. Rise and fall times are set as parameters here: in the shutter actuator table of the Zennio catalogue only the ShutterBOX Drive is marked for automatic detection, sensing the end of travel from the current of AC motors^[4][5][6]. Zennio does not make motors or curtain tracks, so the drive comes from the blind manufacturer.
