About the KLIC-DD v3

The KLIC-DD v3 is a Zennio gateway for Daikin domestic air conditioners: it plugs into the S21 port of the indoor unit and works both ways, so KNX sees the real state of the unit. It succeeds the KLIC-DD3, with improved components and electrical safety^[1]. The 39 × 39 × 14 mm module reaches the PCB over a five-wire cable of about 70 cm with an S21 plug at each end, so it goes in a box beside the unit^[2]. It needs no separate supply and draws 4.1 mA from the KNX bus at 29 V DC^[3].

From KNX you get five fan speeds plus automatic and quiet modes (quiet applies to the indoor unit), swing of the vertical and horizontal flaps where fitted, up to five scenes and an operating-time counter. The gateway sends setpoints of 10–32 °C in 0.5 °C steps, within what the unit accepts. Humidity-control models also get Ururu humidification, only with the unit off, and Sarara drying^[1].

Its two inputs take a temperature probe, a motion sensor or a dry contact^[3]. A KNX panel or sensor can supply the reference temperature; after 3 minutes without a new value the unit returns to its own sensor^[1].
