About the MAXinBOX Hospitality v3

The MAXinBOX Hospitality v3 is a KNX controller for one fan coil, in the hotel room's distribution board. Three relays drive the fan speeds and two the valves (two open/close valves or one 3-point valve); two more outputs take a second 3-point valve, separate loads or a shutter channel^[1]. It holds two independent Hospitality thermostats and Master Light: a door button turns all room lights off if any is on, or one courtesy light on if all are off, tracking up to 30 sources^[2]. KNX Data Secure is supported^[1].

Wiring rules from the datasheet: in a 4-pipe unit the cooling valve goes left and the heating valve right; before the first start make sure the valve is fully closed, and energise the power circuit only after the KNX bus is connected. The two 16 A outputs O1–O2 accept capacitive loads up to 140 µF; in a 2-pipe unit the spare V2 can serve as an individual output up to 4 A, not capacitive. A 16 A breaker is recommended upstream^[1].

Six inputs take 6.8 kΩ or 10 kΩ Zennio probes or a custom NTC, push buttons and contacts, or motion sensors^[2]. It takes 4.5 DIN modules and 5.6 mA from the bus^[1] but does not power it, unlike the ALLinBOX Hospitality v2 with a built-in 160 mA KNX supply^[3].
