About the KES Plus

The KES Plus (ZIO-KESP) is a Zennio KNX energy meter for the distribution panel: three measuring channels with current transformers cover either three independent single-phase lines or one three-phase line, in 230 V AC and 400 V 3~ networks^[1]^[2]. With Zennio transformers the active power accuracy is 1% at a power factor of 0.75 to 1^[1].

It reports voltage, current, power and energy to KNX. The active power sign tells whether a line consumes energy or feeds the grid, and the phase LEDs blink yellow on consumption and green on generation^[2]^[1]. It also estimates CO₂ and offers up to three registers, one total and two partial, four alarms for excess and low power, and 10 logic functions^[2].

Each measured line needs its own transformer, with only the phase conductor passing through it^[2]. CST60 and CST120 leads must not be shortened or spliced^[1]; the 9900045 has terminals for a secondary cable of up to 1.8 m^[3]. The manual covers networks with and without an accessible neutral; for three single-phase loads on a three-phase network without neutral it uses two KES Plus set as single-phase, summing the total power with a logic function if values are in kW^[2]. It measures AC circuits only, runs on bus power and takes 2 DIN units^[2]^[1]. Pulse-output meters reach KNX through the KCI 4 S0^[4].
