About the MAXinBOX 24 v2

The MAXinBOX 24 v2 (ZIOMB24V2) is the largest output-only MAXinBOX: 24 relays of 16 A in a 68 × 90 × 212 mm housing of 12 DIN units, weighing 757 g^[1][2]. Its six configurable blocks are assigned to loads (up to 24), shutters (up to 12) or two-pipe fan coils (up to 6); it has 30 logic functions and 2 Master Light controls^[1].

Every relay switches 16 A at 250 V AC and withstands an inrush of up to 800 A for 200 µs or 165 A for 20 ms; a block of outputs takes up to 40 A, mechanical life is 3,000,000 cycles and the response time is within 10 ms^[1]. Neighbouring outputs can be fed from different phases^[1]. No external supply is required: the actuator draws 4.3 mA from the bus at 29 V^[1].

Check the security requirement before choosing it: the comparison table of the Zennio manual lists no KNX Secure for the MAXinBOX 24 v2, while the 8 v4 and 16 v4 have it^[2]. If the project calls for KNX Data Secure, the same 24 outputs, 12 shutters and 6 fan coils come from two MAXinBOX 12 in the same 12 DIN units, or from a MAXinBOX 16 v4 plus a MAXinBOX 8 v4 in 12.5 units^[3][4][5].
