About the MAXinBOX 8 v4

The MAXinBOX 8 v4 (ZIOMB8V4) is the entry model among the output-only MAXinBOX actuators: eight 16 A relays in a 67 × 90 × 79 mm housing 4.5 DIN units wide, weighing 188 g^[1]^[2]. Its two configurable relay blocks handle at most 8 separate loads, 4 shutters or a pair of two-pipe fan coil units^[1].

The larger models limit the current per block of outputs; the MAXinBOX 8 v4 states one limit for the whole device, 80 A in total^[1]^[3]. A single output switches 16 A at 250 V AC or 7 A at 30 V DC and accepts capacitive loads up to 140 µF^[1]. Relay life is at least 100,000 operations at 8 A and 25,000 at 16 A, with 3,000,000 mechanical cycles^[1].

Push buttons on the housing operate the outputs by hand, and each output has a status LED^[1]. As on the MAXinBOX 16 v4, it has KNX Data Secure, 20 logic functions and 2 Master Light controls^[2]. For a KNX Secure factory reset, hold the programming button while connecting the bus to enter safe mode, then press it for 10 seconds until the programming LED changes its state^[1]. No external supply is needed: the actuator draws 4 mA from the bus at 29 V^[1].
