KLIC-TS — Toshiba-KNX gateway

About the KLIC-TS

The KLIC-TS is a Zennio gateway for Toshiba air conditioners. It connects to the indoor unit's two-wire AB line (15 V DC) and exchanges commands, states and error codes with the unit[1]. The link uses A and B screw terminals and up to 30 m of 0.5–1 mm² cable, so the box with the gateway need not sit right at the unit[2]. The housing is 39 × 39 × 14 mm and the KNX bus current 4.2 mA[2].

Through the gateway a Toshiba fan runs at three speeds; automatic speed is available when the unit is not in fan mode[1]. The flaps get five positions, swing and a standby function where the model has it. The setpoint is 10–32 °C, with an operating-time counter and up to five scenes. A Toshiba wired remote may stay, but its commands take priority over the gateway[1].

Its three inputs take temperature probes, motion sensors or dry contacts; the probe may be a Zennio one or any NTC whose resistance is known at three points from −55 to +150 °C[2]. A filter flag tells KNX when cleaning is due, and a separate object clears it afterwards[1]. We check your Toshiba unit in Zennio's compatibility tool[3].
