About the KLIC-PA

The KLIC-PA is a Zennio gateway for Panasonic air conditioners. Terminals R1 and R2 link it to the indoor unit over Panasonic's two-wire line at 15 V DC: commands go to the unit, and its status and error codes come back to KNX^[1]. The 39 × 39 × 14 mm, 30 g module is mounted in a distribution or wall box, the cable to the unit may be up to 30 m long, and it draws 4.1 mA from the KNX bus^[2].

One setting needs care: enable Auto mode in the parameters only if the unit supports it, because an Auto command to a unit without that mode switches it off^[1]. The gateway always offers three fan speeds, plus automatic speed where the model has it. The flaps have five positions, swing and standby; when standby ends they go to position 5 in heating and to position 1 in the other modes^[1].

The setpoint from KNX is 10–32 °C, within what the unit accepts; the gateway reports a dirty filter to KNX, and after cleaning an object resets the flag^[1]. If a Panasonic wired remote stays on the wall, it has priority^[1]. The three inputs take any mix of temperature probes, motion sensors and dry contacts^[2].
