About the KLIC-SG

The KLIC-SG is a Zennio gateway for Samsung VRF and industrial units: two wires of the F3/F4 line connect it to the indoor unit, and data runs over that line in both directions^[1]. It takes 2 DIN units (67 × 90 × 36 mm) in the panel, the F3/F4 run to the unit can reach 100 m, and it draws 5 mA at 29 V DC from the KNX bus^[2]. A green LED blink every 3 seconds means standby^[2].

The main limit: the gateway does not work with the Samsung wired remote^[1]. The wireless remote can stay or be locked out by a parameter and re-enabled by a KNX object. The gateway handles the Samsung Wind-Free mode, quiet mode and ionizer; Wind-Free ends on a mode change, with quiet mode or when the unit goes off. The setpoint is 16–30 °C, and in fan mode the unit keeps a fixed 24 °C and ignores the KNX setpoint^[1].

The fan has 3 or 4 speeds by unit, plus a filter flag^[1]. Its pair of inputs handles an NTC probe on a cable of up to 30 m, a motion detector or a switch^[2]. We check each Samsung indoor unit in Zennio's compatibility tool^[3].
